What is Quantum Computing

Quantum computing has marked a leap forward in computing capability with performance gains in the billion-fold realm and beyond. The quantum computer, following the laws of quantum physics, and has potential to gain enormous processing power through the ability to be in multiple states, and to perform tasks using all possible permutations simultaneously.

How it works

Quantum computers use qubits as they can exist in an indeterminate state where we can’t tell whether they’ll be measured as a 0 or a 1. That’s because of a unique property called superposition.

Quantum computers real power is in concept of Entanglement. Entangled qubits affect each other instantly when measured, no matter far apart they are. In terms of classic computing, this is a bit like having a logic gate connecting every bit in memory to every other bit.

What purpose it solves

Artificial Intelligence

Artificial intelligence (AI) is the simulation of human intelligence processes by machines, especially computer systems

Molecular Modeling

Molecular modelling encompasses all theoretical methods and computational techniques used to mimic and study the structure and behaviour of molecules

Cryptography

Cryptography or cryptology is the practice and study of techniques for secure communication in the presence of third parties called adversaries.

Financial Modeling

Financial modeling is the task of building an abstract representation (a model) of a real world financial situation

Weather Forecasting

In addition to predictions of atmospheric phenomena themselves, weather forecasting includes predictions of changes on Earth’s surface caused by atmospheric conditions
